Alpine Training Centre SCIO

The Alpine Training Centre SCIO supports young athletes with ski racing camps and bursaries helping make Snowsport more accessible and affordable for all.

ATC Bursaries are in partnership with the Scottish Ski Club, Winter Sports Foundation, Fuchs Trust and AJ’s Ski Bursary.

This season the Bursary programme has supported 20 young athletes with two weeks of pre-season training in Hintertux Austria or with cash awards to help with equipment costs and other ski camps. This important support has provided valuable training to some fantastic young skiers, and we are delighted to see some of these young skiers named to the Scottish, English and British Childrens’ Ski Teams.

Our Parent Guide offers you and your child ski racing advice from the best GB coaches.

Impact

Over the last 10 years several of ATC’s trainees have gone on to represent Team GB at Children, Junior and Senior level. The Scottish and English Ski Teams are well populated with young athletes who started their racing career on an ATC camp.

ATC Camps

ATC camps are inclusive, fun, meticulously organised and very well coached. We build confidence and resilience in young people and provide them with a unique and proven pathway to progress in ski racing and in life.

The ATC Charity camps are run on a not for profit basis. For 2023 our camp with again run in October on the Hintertux glacier in Austria. The camp is an open camp and aimed at offering great trining to aspiring young ski racers aged from 10 to 15 years old.

Please see the camp page for more information and reach out to us if you would like to sign up. You can also apply for one of our bursaries to help with the fees.

Support

This year together with our partners the AJ Ski Bursary, the Winter Sports Foundation, and Scottish Ski Club, we are supporting 20 young athletes with racing camps and bursaries valued at over £40,000.

These are our supporters, like minded friends with companies who want to support young people in Snowsports

The ATC Charity is generously supported by our community of families, individual donors, companies, as well as our Patrons and Trustees. These people all make the ski racing journey passible for many young athletes. If you would like to contribute or to be involved with the Charity either as a Patron or Sponsor please reach out to us by email admin@atccharity.com or by phone +44 7940017548.
